Customer Service Representative - Up to 3 avaialble Full Time


Canadian Recreation Excellence Corporation is proud to have been selected by the City of Chilliwack to operate the City’s Recreation Centre’s (Chilliwack Landing Leisure Centre, Cheam Leisure Centre and Rotary Outdoor Pool) beginning in October 2015. We are in search of honest, hard-working, enthusiastic staff who are “Serious about Fun!”


Under the direction and supervision of the Administration Manager and the Customer Service Manager, the Customer Service Representative will be responsible for ensuring that our patrons welcomed into the facility in a professional and friendly manner. The CSR is responsible for a number of different administration tasks that require both independence, multi-tasking abilities and excellent time management. As the CSR you will assist with providing the information required to educate our patrons on the high quality programs and service that our patrons and guests are inquiring about.


Customer Service Representative (up to 3 Full Time positions are available)

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and motivated Aquatic Specialist who possesses the following qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade 11 education
  • Exemplary Customer Service Experience/Training
  • Microsoft Office Computer Training (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Firm understanding on the use of CLASS
  • Standard First Aid with CPR C/AED
  • WHMIS Training
  • 1-2 year of Customer Service work experience would be an asset
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision
  • Works well as a team player as well as independently
  • Knowledge of of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar

Your duties could include, but not limited to:

  • Handle sensitive and delicate public relations situations with a high degree of professionalism

  • Communicate efficiently and clearly orally in the English language
  • Make decisions and exercise resourcefulness in meeting new problems and challenges
  • Maintain information files and provide information to Administration, co-workers and outside organizations or citizens
  • Produce documents with clearly organized thoughts, proper sentence construction, punctuation and grammar
  • Review documents for completeness and accuracy
  • Comprehend and make inferences from written material
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and common sense
  • Work effectively and maintain harmonious relationships with Administration, co-workers and patrons
  • Greet all guests, patrons and customers in a pleasant and friendly manner as well as answer questions about the facility, its programs and services and Recreation Excellence, as needed
  • This position is scheduled for days, evenings and weekends.
  • Perform all other related duties as required

The successful candidates will require a Criminal Record Check and Working with Vulnerable Persons search prior to commencing work. As well as, maintain a clean Criminal Record to remain on staff.
